The NHL announced that this season will end on March 1.
The league also announced the following:Players will no longer be able to receive waivers and can no longer participate in trades during the NHL lockout.
Players can no more be traded for salary or picks during the lockout.
This season is officially over.
The players who remain in the league will be suspended for the duration of the lockout until March 1st.
All current players are ineligible for the 2018 NHL All-Star Game in Minnesota.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the NHL, which was first introduced in the NHL in 1970.
The NHL has been in existence for just over 20 years.
The NHL season runs from March 1 to March 31.
It ends on February 6.
