A Colorado man has been arrested on charges that he allegedly planned to bomb the Denver airport on the day the first day of Ramadan began in September 2018.
Police say 24-year-old Anthony Gatto was arrested Tuesday at the airport after being questioned by the FBI about a potential attack.
The FBI says the FBI has been tracking Gatto since July 2018 and that he has been the subject of several counter-terrorism investigations.
Gatto’s attorney, James Smith, says the charges are trumped up.
Smith told the Denver Post he has no comment.
