The former “Daily Show” host will continue to work for the network as a host of “Inside Amy Schumer,” which will air this spring, and he will be working as a writer for “Inside Hillary Clinton,” which is scheduled to debut in the fall.
“I’m working as part of a new creative team to help build the future of Amy Schumer and the show, and that team is really going to be great,” he told the New York Times.
“And it will be the best show we’ve ever had.
And I am very excited about that.”
The “Inside Schumer” panel will be hosted by the comedian Amy Schumer, who also co-stars in the film “The House,” and will be followed by a discussion of how the film was made.
In an interview with Variety earlier this month, Schumer called the film a “great opportunity” to work with her fellow comedians.
“Amy Schumer is a big fan of ‘Inside Amy,'” she said.
“She really enjoyed the project.
And so she and I are going to do some really cool stuff together in the future.”
Schumer and her brother, Joe, were at the 2016 Emmy Awards.
Schumer also appeared on “Saturday Night Live” in 2016.
The “Daily Rundown” hosts are expected to return for a second season of the show in 2018.
Schumer is also a part of the “Inside HBO” podcast, and has been a regular guest on “The Daily Show” since 2012.
He was recently named the new host of HBO’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” which he has hosted since 2013.
He will appear in “Inside Bernie Sanders” next year, but he will not be returning for the upcoming season.
