Be sure to buy locally made dairy-free cream.
Ditch the milk for organic cream.
Dye says ice cream makers can also buy organic cream from the local milk cooperative.
There are a number of grocery stores that carry local produce, and you can also find a lot more locally made ice cream and other products at local stores.
Avoid ice cream made with eggs, cream cheese, and other artificial ingredients.
These are all added to ice cream before it is made, which can increase the amount of fat, sugar, and calories in the ice cream instead of making it healthier.
